| How do I register? |
Registration is part of the purchase process. When you purchase WinRAR/RAR from
any of the sites around the world, you are sent a personalized key file that you copy on your computer that tells
WinRAR/RAR you are the legal owner of that software and registers it to you. If you purchase a copy, and didn't receive a key, contact
the site you purchased it from, they can resend it.
WinRAR/RAR products are not free! They are shareware, which means you can try the software at no charge for 40 days, and
purchase it then if you choose to keep it. If you decide you didn't like the WinRAR/RAR product you tried, then
uninstall it and it costs you nothing to try. |

To obtain a replacement key file, you should contact the website that you
originally purchased from, as they keep a backup copy of your keys on site and they can resend that to you. When
you contact them, make sure you provide as much information about when you purchased it, your address, email and so
forth so they can locate your order, but do not include information about your credit card.
If you purchased from BuyRAR.com or RARArchiver.com, then click on the Contact Us link and provide the requested
info and we will send your key -- normally in 1-3 days.
Don't remember where you purchased your keys from? Contact the www.win-rar.com or click on the lost key link: |

| What is RAR? |
| RAR
(or more commonly referred to as WinRAR) is a compression program
offering an original algorithm. This new way to compress files
provides greater efficiency, and makes smaller archives -- especially
on multimedia files, and archives with many files. RAR also
offers self-extracting capabilities as well as disk-spanning (or
multi-volumes). |
|
| Another great feature about RAR is the cross-platform support.
The Windows version of RAR (WinRAR) works on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT,
Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows 2003. There are also versions for the Mac, Linux, and others. |
|
| Why should I use RAR? |
| Why not? You can save disk space by converting your .ARJ, .ZIP,
etc. archives over to RAR. RAR integrates into Windows to
give you access to compression and extraction capabilities; they're
just a right-click away. If you prefer command-line utilities,
even the WinRAR version comes with a command-line version. In addition,
WinRAR can also create .ZIP archives, so it's like having two products
in one! |
|
| How do I register my copy of RAR? |
| When you purchase RAR from our site, or others around the world
you will be sent a key file that will include instructions on how to apply it to the copy
of RAR you are currently using. Successful application of that key file then registers
that copy of RAR to you. |
|
| Give RAR a try today! |
| Download and
install the latest version of RAR available from the download page,
and try it for 40 days. At the end of the evaluation period,
we think you'll want to buy this product. If you don't, just
uninstall the program and send us a note -- we'd like to know what
about RAR didn't meet your expectations. |
